Who has a tv license?

are you a conscientious objector..lol

'LEXY'... it's called dirty business.

Years ago, when satelite TV started, many viewers took the BBC to court on the basis that they did not have to pay for the licence because they did not receive or watch any BBC tv. Thet all won their cases and so the court orderd that the BBC should not charge them a tv licence. So what hapens ? The BBC decides to place its BBC tv channels on satelite and now, whether or not you choose to watch it, even if you subcribe to SKY you still have to pay the damned licence.

- I don't like paying it... I object to be forced to pay for something I choose not to buy !! - I subscribe to SKY and watch only my fav documentary channels and read my newsapers for news. I NEVER watch the BBC nor does anyone in the family. -- So much for FREEDOM of choice !! Any expense FORCED upon you can only classified as THEFT !!

Another thing, London luxury hotel with, say, 500 rooms with a TV in every room, pays for ONE licence... A retired, old, poor married couple whose only entertainment is their small black and white, TV have to pay the same licence and the same amount that the luxury hotel. So much for FREEDOM !

A year or so ago I read that the BBC were considering charging the license to anyone who had a PC and internet. LOLOLOL.... because you COULD somehow watch their programs on some pirate website.

We don't have one actually! I don't want to pay for one as I don't like what the money goes towards, and besides, we live on my boyfriends parents land, in one of their old farm buildings. Even though it's a mile away, technically I think our tv would count on her license... maybe!

Anyway, we used to live in a flat and we couldn't afford the license so we didn't have a tv, but we'd still get threatening letters every few months, we lived there for years and nobody ever came round, it's all just empty threats.

Its something we all pay for im afraid so we dont really get a choice if you dont and you get caught you could pay up to 1,000 pound for a fine.I agree with what you are saying but the license its self is to pay for you to have a receiver anything capable of receiving television pictures you have to pay for.x

If you haven't got one you will be shot. The government need the money to pay for their "information" to be broadcast 24hrs a day. They do this in the forlorn hope that we will to the party line. Welcome to communism.

i d not own a tv so i do not have to pay

i just have the internet and watch the bbc for free on it's i-player

mmm free bbc its yummy

They will come knocking sooner or later if you don't have one and then you might go to prison it is a serious offence.

Everyone who does not want a hefty fine for not having a licence

long words your using and your a blonde lmfaooo the world will surely end soon
